Hello Spring – 13 Interiors with Soft Pastel Colours

With the blooming tulips, daffodils and cherry blossoms, spring officially arrived (finally)! Because of the bathroom renovation my husband and I have going on at our home, we’ve made a few trips to Ikea to buy accessories, where we saw many pastel colour choices in their latest product lines. From dusty pink, to lavender violet, to pale yellow — these cheery colours are so dreamy that we couldn’t help falling in love with them! Here we have put together a gallery of 13 interior decor ideas using lovely soft hues. Read on to find out how they will make your home happy all year long! [Dining Room]

If you already have a Scandinavian style interior, you’ll be happy to see that pastel colours go really well with pale backgrounds and wood tones. To introduce soft colours into the dining room, consider mismatching dining chairs in different colours, painting an old cabinet, using tablewares in these colours, or giving the space a fresh coat of paint on the walls!

[Living Room]

Although painting the walls in a pastel colour is the most effective way to enjoy the soft hues, it may not be an option for certain homes. In those cases, starting with small decorative pieces like pillows and vintage chairs will be a good idea to begin with!

[Bedroom]

We love the relaxing atmosphere pastel colours bring to bedrooms. Again however, if your bedroom walls don’t need to be repainted, what else is in the bedroom that takes up the second largest surface area? The bed! Choosing bedsheets in soft muted tones will also look fantastic against any background while generating the same pleasant atmosphere as pink walls do.

[Other Spaces]

Don’t see anything you like to update your dining room, living room, or bedroom? No problem. Almost every home has shelves, and painting them pink requires very little paint. Plus, they look so elegant with a light grey background! Otherwise, finding a pink chair is also a lovely way to add a splash of pastel colours to any space!
